Meet the local people, flavors and stories behind Juan More Taco Tours.

Guests sharing a convivial meal at an operator culinary experience
Family-owned. Food-led.

From kitchens to the streets.

Juan More Taco Tours launched in Cabo San Lucas in 2015, growing from the wider Cookin’ Vallarta story that began in 2012.

What started with a love for Mexican cuisine became a way to share the food and everyday places that visitors might otherwise miss: bustling markets, neighborhood eateries and the people behind each plate.

Today, we offer food walks and culinary experiences in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo and Puerto Vallarta. Local guides bring their knowledge, warmth and cultural stories to each experience, whether you are tasting tacos, exploring agave spirits or cooking around a shared table.

Why we do this

Food is a story worth sharing.

We believe food is about connection, community and culture, not just what is on the plate.

Our mission is to share Mexico’s culinary heritage through experiences that introduce you to local people and places.

For seasoned food lovers and curious travelers alike, our tours offer a welcoming way to see a different side of your destination. Choose a shared experience, or ask us to arrange a private day for your family, friends or team.

Before we meet.

Useful answers to help you choose the right experience.

How long are your food tours?

Most walking food tours last three hours. Cabo’s taco-and-mixology experiences last 3½ hours, and the Puerto Vallarta tour lasts four hours. Tastings run for 90 minutes and the chocolate workshop for two hours. Check your chosen experience for the exact duration.

Can we book a tour just for our group?

Yes. Dedicated private tours and private cooking classes are available. Minimum groups vary by experience, from four guests for private taco tours to six for the private cooking class. For a tailored event, contact groups@cookinvallarta.com.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Options depend on the experience. Many Cabo and San José tours can arrange vegetarian or other dietary requests, and cooking classes can accommodate vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets. The Puerto Vallarta tour is not recommended for vegetarians or vegans, and the shared Cabo taco-and-cocktail tour is not vegetarian-friendly. Tell us your requirements before booking.

Do you organize corporate events?

Yes. We create private culinary experiences for celebrations, team gatherings and corporate groups. Dedicated activities have their own group limits; larger events of up to 200 guests can be discussed with the team at groups@cookinvallarta.com.

Can cruise ship passengers join?

Yes. Tell us your ship, port date, docking time and return deadline before booking. Private tours offer more flexibility for your group. Confirm the meeting point and transfer arrangements for your selected experience; do not assume port or hotel pickup is included.
